More hospitals and health systems across the country are implementing nurse residency programs to support new nurses as they transition into the field. It’s also an effort that aims to improve retention amid the ongoing nursing shortage.

Here are the top 10 ranked nurse residency programs across the U.S., according to Nurse.org, which ranked each of the programs based on a myriad of criteria ranging from U.S. News and World Report‘s annual hospital rankings, U.S. Department of Labor information and American Nurses Credentialing Center recognitions.
