Moose wanders into Alaskan hospital

An Anchorage-based Alaska Regional Hospital employee filmed cellphone video of a moose making its way into the facility Jan. 7, CBS News reports.

Employee Stephanie Hupton said a patient had mentioned that security staffers were monitoring a moose that made its way inside the hospital, and made her way to the area to capture the encounter on video.

The cellphone video shows the moose inside the facility near some potted plants before it exits the building through an open entrance.

A hospital spokesperson confirmed the encounter, stating the moose entered the building around 11:30 a.m. through doors that were stuck open because of freezing temperatures in the area. The animal ate some of the plants inside the hospital before exiting roughly 10 minutes later.
