Pending a nationwide search for a permanent CEO, the hospital named Joe Sharp, CEO from 1998-2006, as interim CEO.

During Mr. Motte’s one-and-a-half-year tenure, the hospital expanded cancer-related services, renovated space for a family medical practice and faced opposition from nearby Providence St. Peter Hospital against its state application to offer elective angioplasties.
