Two Maryland Health Systems to Merge

The Upper Chesapeake Health System, which operates hospitals in Bel Air, Md., and Havre de Grace, Md., has announced plans to merge with the University of Maryland Medical System, according to a report by the Baltimore Sun.

The two health systems plan to complete their merger by 2013.
