St. Luke's Health System in Houston to Focus on Pharmacy Efficiency

St. Luke's Health System, a Houston-based subsidiary of Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives, will adopt Craneware's pharmacy charge program.

With Craneware's Pharmacy ChargeLink, St. Luke's will bring together several areas — wholesaler drug spend, formulary, chargemaster, revenue and usage — into one revenue cycle solution, said Craig Frost, assistant vice president at St. Luke's.

"By bringing together this data into one source for viewing and reporting, it will help identify costly errors and gaps, such as drugs purchased but missing CPT, HCPCS or revenue codes from the chargemaster, drugs with invalid National Drug Code values in the spend file or variances where the purchased volume differs from the billed volume," Mr. Frost said in a news release.
