Rochester General Health System in NY Pays $40M for New Properties

Rochester (N.Y.) General Health System announced the purchase of four properties at a total price of $40 million.

The properties encompass a total of 240,000 square feet of space and include the Linden Oaks Medical Campus, which has three medical office buildings, and a building in the Linden Oaks Office Park. RGHS plans to add 29,000 square feet to the office park building and move its current Lattimore Surgical Center to the space.

The relocated ASC will be part of a larger project to create a comprehensive ambulatory medical campus. The three other buildings will house an urgent care center, an expanded oncology center, primary care physician and specialist offices, physical/occupational therapy and laboratory services, among others.

RGHS' expansion into the outpatient sector is driven by increases in its patient volume, expected continued growth in patient demand for outpatient services and new payment systems under healthcare reform, according to the release.
