Ringgold County Hospital to Outsource IT Functions Through ICE Technologies

Ringgold County Hospital in Mt. Ayr, Iowa, has signed an information technology outsourcing agreement with ICE Technologies. The IT firm will provide a full-time operations manager and systems engineer and a part-time CIO to help the hospital meet its IT goals.

The agreement also includes support, management and optimization of the hospital’s McKesson electronic medical record.

“RCH is committed to developing and maintaining IT systems that will meet the challenges addressed in the [Patient Protection and] Affordable Care Act and meet the requirements of the health information exchanges,” said Gordon Winkler, CEO at RCH, in a news release. “A closer partnership with ICE Technologies will provide the expertise and resources to meet the demands in the rapidly growing area of healthcare IT.”

This is not the first partnership between ICE Technologies and RCH. The two organizations have been working together on various IT projects at the hospital since 2002.
