PinnacleHealth Breaks Ground on Estimated $100M New Hospital

Harrisburg, Pa.-based PinnacleHealth has broken ground on its estimated $100 million West Shore Hospital on its Cumberland Campus in Mechanicsburg, Pa., according to a CBS 21 report.

The new 108-bed hospital will include an emergency department and a cardiology wing.

The expansion will provide much-needed additional capacity, according to the report. PinnacleHealth’s East Shore hospital operates at between 95 and 100 percent capacity, and its downtown campus operates at roughly 85 percent capacity, according to the report.

The facility is scheduled to open in 2014.
