The unit opened in 2009, as a 5,200-square-foot expansion of the Lisa Perry Emergency Center at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. While the unit is an integral part of the Lisa Perry Emergency Center, it can function as a freestanding, self-contained mini-emergency department.
