Nebraska’s Good Samaritan Names New CEO

Michael H. Schnieders has been named president and CEO Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Neb., a 233-bed facility that is part of Catholic Health Initiatives, according to a release from Good Samaritan.

From 2003-2009, Mr. Schnieders was executive vice president and administrator of 370-bed Good Samaritan Hospital, an unrelated institution in Suffern, N.Y. He previously spent 19 years with Covenant Health System in Waterloo, Iowa, rising to the COO level.

He succeeds Bob Lanik, who has been serving as interim CEO.
