MaineGeneral Opens $312M Alfond Center for Health

Augusta-based MaineGeneral Health has opened the $312 million Alfond Center for Health in Augusta, according to a Boston Globe report.

The 640,000-square-foot hospital includes 192 inpatient beds, six procedure rooms for endoscopy and cystoscopy, three oversized operating rooms and a cardiac catheterization laboratory.
