L.A. Has Highest Medicare Spending for End-of-Life Care

Los Angeles reported higher Medicare expenditures for end-of-life care than anywhere else in the country, according to a Los Angeles Times report.

About $112,000 was spent per patient during the last two years of life in Los Angeles, about 60 percent higher than the national average, according to the report.
