Dr. Christianson is a professor in the division of health policy and management at the Minneapolis-based University of Minnesota’s School of Public Health.
The GAO also announced the appointment of three new members to the commission:
• Kathy Buto, MPA, an expert in U.S. and international health policy and former vice president of global health policy at Johnson & Johnson.
• Francis Crosson, MD, group vice president at American Medical Association in Chicago.
• Warner Thomas, MBA, president and CEO of the Ochsner Health System in New Orleans.
The GAO reappointed two of its existing members — Willis D. Gradison, Jr., MBA, former scholar-in-residence in the health sector management program at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business; and William J. Hall, MD, director of the Center for Healthy Aging at the University of Rochester (N.Y.) School of Medicine.
