EmCare has a 40-year history of delivering patient care, according to the report, and the company provides services for emergency room physicians and other services.

“Without a doubt, we have really great doctors, we have great nurses in the emergency department,” hospital CEO Arthur Doloresco told the Casa Grande Dispatch. “But one of the things that Florence Hospital could not provide was the kind of leadership that was necessary, and EmCare brings that leadership to the table.”

The partnership will not lead to any layoffs or transfers, according to the report.
