CEO of Massachusetts’ Saints Medical Center Resigns

Michael Guley, president and CEO of 163-bed Saints Medical Center in Lowell, Mass., has resigned, according to a report by the Lowell Sun.

Saints CFO Stephen J. Guimond has been appointed interim CEO.

In more than four years as CEO, Mr. Guley orchestrated the hospital’s turnaround and proposed an affiliation with Covenant Health Systems that is still being discussed.
