AHIMA's annual convention starts Sept. 27

The American Health Information Management Association's 86th AHIMA Convention and Exhibit will be held Sept. 27 to Oct. 2 in San Diego.

At the convention, health IT and information management stakeholders will come together to discuss how to keep effecting change and progress within the healthcare industry. Sessions will discuss information governance, ICD-10, innovation and other topics.

"This is an opportunity for those working throughout the health information management field to come together and move the industry forward,” said AHIMA Board President and Chair Angela Kennedy, EdD, MEd, MBA, RHIA, CPHQ. "The breadth of topics that we will discuss reflects the changing dynamics of the entire healthcare industry. This is truly a time for those of us in health information management to dream, believe and lead."
