62 acute care hospitals in New York City

As the most populated city in the United States, it should come as no surprise that The Big Apple has more hospitals within its city limits than many states have total.

Here's a list of the acute care hospitals in the five boroughs of New York City — the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island.

[Editor's Note: The hospitals and bed counts were collected from a variety of sources, including the American Hospital Directory, Medicare's Hospital Compare website, the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation, the New York State Department of Health and the respective hospitals' websites.]
