The cuts essentially slashed benefits by half for in-home personal care for some beneficiaries. The Court ruled the cuts must be made based on examining each individual case, not by broad assumptions based on children’s age and living conditions.
The Court also affirmed a lower court’s decision that similar cuts to 1,000 seniors receiving in-home care were unfair, according to the report.
