Thefts target providers in Ohio, Indiana

Kettering Health Network police believe thefts occurring at hospitals and physician practices in Ohio and Indiana may be related, local Ohio news station WHIOTV 7 reports.

Staff have reported theft from health system sites in several Ohio locations as well as Muncie, Ind., according to the report. The system is based in Dayton, Ohio.

Thefts have occurred while staff are working with patients, according to the report. One staff member told WHIOTV 7 her wallet was stolen while she was providing care and her credit card was blocked after being used fraudulently at a local grocery store.
