The rule, affecting disproportionate share hospitals, children’s hospitals and free-standing cancer hospitals, has a new compliance date of August 7, 2013 (originally April 7, 2013). No extensions will be granted beyond August 7.
A delay had been requested by the AHA and 340B hospital members, to allow for more time to work with vendors and update inventory management systems.
