Noting that his opponent, Democrat Jack Conway, co-owns a racehorse, Dr. Paul suggested Mr. Conway is wealthy enough to be able to pay part of the tab for the fiscally endangered Medicare program.
Meanwhile, Conway campaign ads showed Dr. Paul seeming to tout the idea of a $2,000 Medicare deductible, but Dr. Paul said that idea was hypothetical and not practical. Dr. Paul said he would continue to talk about solving Medicare’s problems.
