Kingwood police responded to a call from the hospital Aug. 27 reporting a patient “being very combative with the hospital staff.” As an officer attempted to handcuff the man, the man struck a registered nurse in the jaw.
The 51-year-old man, David John Ritter, was charged with battery of a healthcare worker and was in jail Aug. 29.
