The two groups will integrate AMA’s AMAGINE physician community portal with AT&T Healthcare Community Online, creating a collaborative care and Healthcare Information Exchange platform. AT&T will own and operate the combined platform as AT&T Healthcare Community Online.

According to the announcement, the platform will provide access to solutions that bring evidence-based information to the point of care; enable access to clinical decision support, e-prescribing, care management and electronic medical record applications; and improve workflow efficiency and streamline processes associated with physician orders and referrals, lab orders and results, medications and discharge planning.
