OIG: HHS’ Top 10 Regulatory, Management Challenges of 2013

Every year, HHS’ Office of the Inspector General prepares a list of the department’s most significant challenges regarding developing and enforcing policies and best practices within the healthcare industry. The challenges are both those experienced by HHS in the current year and vulnerabilities the department has for the next year.

  9. Protecting HHS grants and contract funds from fraud, waste and abuse
  10. Ensuring the safety of food, drugs and medical devices
