Nursing home employee charged with shooting co-worker

A Florida nursing home employee was charged with shooting her co-worker in the facility’s parking lot, a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office news release said.

Felicia McGee, 46, was arrested and charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery on April 20. The incident took place at The Bristol at Tampa (Fla.) Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, where Ms. McGee and the victim had been working together for less than two months. Ms. McGee was allegedly involved in a verbal altercation with her co-worker that started in the facility and continued into the parking lot. While outside, Ms. McGee pulled a gun and shot the victim in the arm, according to the release.

The victim was transported to Tampa General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Ms. McGee is currently being held in jail.
