New Hampshire filed a lawsuit against Stamford, Conn.-based Purdue Pharma LP for allegedly misleading marketing campaigns, which state officials believe fueled their current opioid epidemic, according to Reuters.

The suit alleges that Purdue did not accurately represent the addictive qualities of OxyContin in their marketing campaigns and overstated the benefits of using opioids to treat chronic pain. It is still unknown what kinds of damages New Hampshire is seeking.

“We share New Hampshire officials’ concerns about the opioid crisis and we are committed to working collaboratively to find solutions,” Purdue said in a statement, though they denied any wrongdoing.
