Carl Reddix, MD, 57, allegedly paid bribes and kickbacks to former Mississippi Department of Corrections Commissioner Chris Epps to secure more than $29 million in medical contracts at several correctional facilities in the state, according to the report.
Dr. Reddix’s attorney, Lisa Ross, said he was a victim of a shakedown, according to the report. Dr. Reddix will go on trial Oct. 3.
