Medtronic to Disclose Physician Payments

Medtronic announced that it will voluntarily disclose all payments to physicians in excess of $5,000 per year, according to a Medtronic news release.

Payments include consulting fees, royalties or honoraria paid by Medtronic. 

The company will begin capturing payment data on Jan. 1, 2010, and will report the information annually on its Web site.
