Man threatened rampage, brought knives to Utah hospital

A man accused of entering LonePeakHospital in Draper, Utah, with two knives and threatening to go on a rampage has been formally charged with a third-degree felony Wednesday, reports KSL.

Draper police say Allen Handley, 48, arrived at LonePeak emergency department on Aug. 12 with a 12-inch kitchen knife and a fixed blade utility knife inside a bag he was carrying. Mr. Handley had called the hospital earlier that day and threatened to go on a rampage, causing hospital staff to alert area police, according to charges obtained by KSL.

The police department issued a warrant for Mr. Handley’s arrest Wednesday.
