Man allegedly assaults nurse with bodily fluids, then claims to be HIV positive

A man who allegedly said he is HIV positive has been charged with assault with a bodily fluid after police say he attacked a nurse while being treated in the emergency room at Northport (Ala.) Medical Center in June, according to WVTM.

Montreal Minor allegedly spat on a nurse in the hospital's ER and told her to "taste the last kiss of death." He then allegedly claimed to be HIV positive.

In Alabama, assault with bodily fluids is a felony if the offender has a communicable disease. According to WVTM, police have not confirmed whether Mr. Minor is HIV positive. However, he faces a felony charge, according to ABC 33/40.

The nurse was tested for HIV immediately after the incident, and the test came back negative. She will be tested again in six months for final results.
