The U.S. Justice Department said June 21 that Patrick Finney, MD, of Paducah, Ky., submitted the false claims from Nov. 16, 2017 through Aug. 28, 2020.
The Justice Department said Dr. Finney received kickbacks from physician staffing firm Barton Associates and its telehealth clients in exchange for referring Medicare patients and ordering unnecessary durable medical equipment and genetic testing.
