In February 2007, several hospitals run by Sacred Heart, Tenet and others sued Humana’s military healthcare business — Humana Military Healthcare Services — alleging it had breached outpatient reimbursement network agreements, according to the regulatory filing.
Humana expects to incur the expenses in the second quarter of 2012. Consequently, Humana lowered its earnings to a range of $7.38 to $7.58 per share for this year compared with $7.55 to $7.75 per share from earlier this year.
