According to police, the female hospital employee left the medical center around 8 a.m. Sunday morning when a man with a knife approached her. Police said the man forced the woman into the car with him and took the keys. The man later dropped her off at an IHOP in Rancho Cucamonga, according to the article.
Police recovered the woman’s car in Pasadena, Calif., using OnStar technology. The woman was uninjured. It is unclear whether police located and arrested the man involved in the crime, according to the article.
Darryl VandenBosch, president of the medical center, said in a statement to NBC4 news that the hospital has increased security since the incident.
