Investigators with the AG’s Medicaid Fraud Control arrested Shaniqua Kiera Jenkins, 27, following a grand jury’s indictment on one count of felony exploitation of a vulnerable adult.
Ms. Jenkins is accused of stealing a debit card number and additional information from a patient at St. Dominic’s to withdraw more than $250 in January 2017. The AG’s office did not say what position Ms. Jenkins held at the hospital.
She was booked into the Hinds County Detention Center and released on a $5,000 bond. If convicted, Ms. Jenkins faces up to 10 years in prison and $10,000 in fines.
