Workers had planned to strike for three-days from Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria, Calif., and French Hospital in San Luis Obispo, Calif., beginning June 26. Marian President Chuck Cova said the union bargaining committee agreed to union members’ recommended ratification to the agreement.
Under the proposed agreement, Mr. Cova said the four-year master contract would have step increases for the first two years of the contract, according to the report. It would include an across-the-board increase in the second year, according to Mr. Cova.
Dignity Health and the union will reconvene at the end of the second year to consider wages, benefits, retirement and the education fund for the remainder of the contract.
