CareFusion Release Anesthesia Systems With More Patient Protections

CareFusion has announced several new products to improve patient medication safety, according to News-Medical.

New product lines include the Pyxis Anesthesia ES System, Pyxis Anesthesia system 4000, Alaris Infusion Viewer, Full-Height CUBIE Pocket and Rowa Vmax.

Safety features include new dispensing systems to automate medication management in the operating room and procedural areas to maximize medication security. Controlled access drawers have also been added to the Pyxis 4000 to better security of high-risk medications such as propofol.
