Dr. Gooding, 71, of Wilmington, Del., owned and operated a now-shuttered physiatry and pain management practice in Washington, D.C., according to a March 10 Justice Department news release.
The scheme occurred between 2014 and 2018 and included fraudulent billing for complicated spinal injections for which he did not own the necessary equipment.
The jury convicted Dr. Gooding on 11 counts of healthcare fraud, according to the release. He faces a maximum of 10 years in prison on each count and is scheduled to be sentenced June 26.
