Hospital officials confirmed to Becker’s that an “accidental death” of a contractor occurred outside its main campus building. What led to the worker’s death has yet to be determined.
Hospital officials, Boston police and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating the incident, a Massachusetts General Hospital spokesperson told Becker’s.
OSHA is investigating the incident to “determine if workplace safety standards were complied with,” an agency spokesperson told The Boston Globe.
The man’s identity has not been made public.
