Colorado Lt. Gov. Dianne Primavera signed HB23-1215, legislation that will mandate hospitals increase transparency around facility fees and prohibit healthcare organizations from charging facility fees for telehealth procedures.
The rolled-back version of the bill signed into law exempts critical access hospitals and no longer looks to ban facility fees for all care provided outside of the hospital.
The Colorado Hospital Association opposed the revised version of the bill.
