Samuel Ford pleaded guilty March 13 in federal court to one charge of conspiracy.
In 2016, Mr. Ford was co-owner of T. Monroe Medical Billing, which managed billing for medical practices and toxicology labs. He admitted to submitting improper claims to drive revenue to a toxicology lab that the other owner of the billing company had stake in, according to the report.
Mr. Ford faces up to five years in prison.
