The hospital claims that the insurer did not pay the hospital for the treatment of Anthem Blue Cross patients, even though the hospital had been authorized to treat them.
Lodi Memorial and the insurer have not been able to agree to a contract for more than two years. However, Lodi Memorial provided Anthem Blue Cross patients with emergency services. The lawsuit alleges that the insurer authorized the treatment of some non-emergency conditions at the hospital as well, but the hospital was denied claims for payment.
The case is scheduled to be heard September.
