The court’s judges unanimously rejected claims from both Phoenix Baptist Hospital and John C. Lincoln Hospital in Phoenix, both facing suits under the law, that the Adult Protective Services Act was intended to exempt hospitals, according to the report.
Quoting the law, Judge Patricia Orozco said the law applies to all facilities that “provide care,” a phrase she believes cannot be interpreted to exclude hospitals, according to the report.
