AdventHealth Medical Group agrees to pay $800K after fraud self-disclosure

Florida-based AdventHealth Medical Group has agreed to pay $807,000 after it self-disclosed it submitted claims for services that were not performed.

The HHS Office of the Inspector General said AdventHealth Medical Group submitted improper professional fee claims for a physician’s pulmonary, laparoscopic, hiatal hernia repair, rib resection and thoracoscopy surgeries that included codes for procedures that were not performed.
