1. The government declined to intervene in 21 of the cases and intervened in full in five of the cases.
2. Twenty-one of the cases involved both state and federal claims.
3. Whistle-blowers voluntarily dismissed seven of the cases, and five of the cases have settled.
4. Eight of the cases included claims for retaliation.
5. Many of the whistle-blowers were former employees of the defendants.
