Pickens County Medical Center Lays Off, Furloughs Employees

Pickens County Medical Center in Carrollton, Ala., has laid off 14 employees and furloughed 13 managers, according to a Tuscaloosa News report.

The furloughed managers will take one unpaid day each pay period.

Pickens County Medical Center has suffered from low patient volumes, due in part to changing admission criteria, according to the report.
