Meritus Health Eliminates 120 Jobs

Hagerstown, Md.-based Meritus Health is laying of 60 employees and eliminating 60 other vacant positions, according to a WHAG report.

The 120 positions represent a 4 percent cut to Meritus Health’s overall workforce. Layoffs are happening now through Feb. 15.

Meritus Health is making the workforce reduction to meet its 2014 budget, according to the report. The workforce reduction, along with new partnerships for laboratory, pharmacy and supply management, is expected to save the system $6 million.
