The 14 union employees are members of SEIU-United Healthcare Workers West, according to the report.
A hospital spokesperson told The Sacramento Bee that Mercy General “will continue to assess and align our resources while maintaining the quality of care our patients deserve” as the hospital experiences a change in demand for care.
