Managers at the hospital have already been taking one-day furloughs each pay period for the last two months, according to the report, but the hospital is still looking for $3 million in savings. Community Medical Center has seen a decrease in inpatient volume.
“We take no satisfaction in having to adjust work hours for people I’m sure are feeling the economic pinch,” Steve Carlson, CEO of Community Medical Center, told the Ravalli Republic.
