An outside company recently evaluated Cabinet Peaks and found over-staffing in some of its departments, which in part led to the layoffs. A hospital spokeswoman also referenced the “tough economic times” facing the healthcare industry as a reason for the cuts.
The 25-bed nonprofit hospital has roughly 230 total employees.
