PathGroup’s 2nd dermatology acquisition of 2021: An Alabama lab

Nashville, Tenn.-based lab services company PathGroup acquired Birmingham, Ala.-based DermLab, an independent dermatopathology laboratory, the company said Aug. 30. The move is the company’s latest in a series of acquisitions in the southeastern U.S.

Earlier this year, PathGroup acquired Birmingham-based dermatopathology lab company SkinDx.

Details of the DermLab deal were not disclosed.
